Hi, my name is Aspro, and I'm a handsome white dog. Today I have lived on the street in Aruba for about one year. The day that changed my life started pretty normal.
I woke up and immediately noticed my empty stomach. I quickly got up and walked through the streets in downtown, hoping to find some old French Fries or something else that would give me some energy to make it through the day.
I was crossing the Main Street when a honking car almost hit me. That was when I noticed that girl sitting on a bench on the sidewalk. She kept on calling me. I walked over to her and she gave me a nice belly rub. A few minutes after that I found myself between the girl's whole family who fed me, hugged me and kissed me. Together we walked to their car and there we went, me and my new family. We stopped at the pet store, where I got yummy dog food, a collar and a leash and a nice, comfortable bed. They took me for long walks on the beach, played with me and gave me a lot of belly rubs (my favorite).
After a few days I had to go to the vet. He gave me all the shots I needed to move into my new home, which would be in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The day of the big trip came fast. At the airport, I took a small pill and soon I got very sleepy. When I woke up, I got handed over to my family.
When we arrived at my new home I saw that I would not be the only pet of the household. They already had 3 dogs and one cat (who got adopted from Aruba the previous year).
Thanks to the good food they feed me, I've gained a few pounds, I have many toys and bones to play with, a big backyard to run around in, and a nice and cozy place where I sleep.
I have to admit it...I feel like a prince, and I love it!
